OUR STORY

Toby's Place began in September 2017 in the basement of Birchcliff Bluffs United Church, an Affirming congregation. We are named in memory of Toby Dancer. Toby's Place is one of the few places in Scarborough that is a safe(r) space for queer and trans youth and their friends. We are open to folks from all and no faith/ spiritual backgrounds. Funding provided by the New Ministries Fund of The United Church of Canada Foundation, The ‘We’re Funny That Way’ Foundation, the City of Toronto (INI grant), an annual comedy night fundraiser, + community donations. Contact us to learn more and to get involved!
