In the summer of 2022, Toby's Place hosted a workshop series for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth to learn to cook vegetarian meals on a budget! Workshops were facilitated by Nikitha James (@nikitha.james2112). We are grateful to have had her share cooking knowledge that had been passed to Nikhita from her grandmother, father, and friends. She taught us recipes while sauntering through familial memories of immigration, discussions about food security, and conversations about colonialism and its impact on food. Thank you also to all the youths who have joined us on this culinary storytelling journey. We appreciate each and every one of you! 💖
